Kate and Andrew Fairley are the proud new owners of the Taychreggan and took over in April 2011. Both local to the area they saw how much a part of that local community the Taychreggan was and in buying it they saw an opportunity to fulfil an ambition and to own a very special and unique establishment.
Colin joined us from The St Andrews Golf Hotel in June 04. He has over 30 years experience in kitchens, mainly spent in Edinburgh. Colin's previous positions include Head Chef at Channings Hotel (part of The Town House Company) and Sous Chef at The Witchery, both in Edinburgh. A real chef with a passion for cooking, his enthusiasm rubs off on all who work with him.
Originally from the City of Kaunas in Lithuania Vyga joined Taychreggan in August 2005. He is a man of many languages speaking and writing English, Russian, Polish and German fluently in addition to his native tongue. Vyga won many awards during his time in Lithuania including Barista of the Year 2000 and was also a member of the team from Hotel Perkuno Namai in Kaunas who were awarded Restaurant of The Year in the "Lithuanian Chefs, Bartenders and Waiters Championships" in both 1999 and 2001.
